I would like to use this space to say thank you to a couple areas. First, the Diocesan Appeal. I am very pleased and proud to say we have achieved and surpassed both our goals. We surpassed our financial goal and our goal for the number of participants. It is my understanding that an Appeal progress report will be coming out in the next Western Register. We will be listed among those who have exceeded their assigned goals. God be praised! Thank you, thank you very much for your generous participation!
Next, I wish to say thank you to all who helped put on another successful Valentine dinner. This is the sixteenth dinner. To its credit, this event has been copied in various forms in neighboring parishes and communities. But St. Libory’s has set the standard for elegance. This also means that it is a lot of work, invitations, advertising, taking reservations, arranging seating, setting up, decorating, serving, taking down and cleaning up. Thank you to all who supported it by purchasing tickets and a big, big thanks to those who labored hard and long to put this dinner on. God bless you all.
